Module 2: Fall Armyworm (FAW) biology and identification
Overview
The Fall Armyworm (FAW) is an invasive lepidopteran pest that feeds largely on maize and sorghum in Africa. Accurate identification of FAW and an understanding of its biology are important aspects of the management of this pest. Module 2 provides information on the identification and biology of this pest and signs of the damage it causes. This information forms the foundation of any FAW management program and will empower farmers to scout and improve their decision making regarding their pest control options.
